Scott McDonald
Motherwell would need to agree to Scott McDonald on a free transfer in order for him to join the Western Sydney Wanderers.

Scott McDonald has reportedly been offered a "life-changing proposal" to join the Western Sydney Wanderers and spearhead their A-League and AFC Champions League campaigns.

The Daily Record reports the former Socceroo has been agonising over his future for the past week after meeting with Wanderers boss Tony Popovic, who is on the hunt for a line-leading striker to replace failed marquee Federico Piovaccari.

Former Selangor and Australia centre-back Robbie Cornthwaite arrived in Sydney on Sunday after agreeing a move to 2014 Asian champions Western Sydney Wanderers.

The 30-year-old has signed a two-season deal with Tony Popovic's side who finished second in the A-League in 2015-16.

For Cornthwaite, it marks a return home after six years playing in Asia, with Jeonnam Dragons in South Korea and at Selangor, near Kuala Lumpur.

The ex-Adelaide United defender was surprisingly cut by the Red Giants in...

Aritz Borda, left, played for APOEL, Deportivo Alaves and Muangthong United before joining WSW on Tueasday.

The Western Sydney Wanderers have signed experienced Spanish central defender Aritz Borda for the next two A-League seasons.

The 31-year-old comes to the Wanderers from newly promoted La Liga side Deportivo Alaves, who topped the Segunda Division last season, and is a direct replacement for departed countryman Alberto Aguilar.

The signing leaves the Wanderers with two visa spots remaining, having retained Dimas Delgado and recruited Uruguayan midfielder Bruno Pinatares last week.
