Wolves striker Bright Enobakhare spared the blushes of the Championship high flyers as they battled to a 1-0 extra time win against Bristol Rovers in the third round of the Carabao Cup at Molineux.

Enobakhare's first goal of the season in the 98th minute - and his first for two years - broke Rovers fans' hearts.

Rovers, who had beaten Fulham in the previous round, more than held their own against Wolves and had chances to win the game in normal time.

Even after Enobakhare had struck, they still refused...

Diogo Jota continued his electric form in front of goal to steer Wolves to a 2-1 win at Nottingham Forest.

The on-loan Atletico Madrid player netted twice, either side of a spectacular strike from Muzzy Carayol, to take his tally to four goals in three games and maintain Wolves' promotion charge.

The result left Nuno Espirito Santo's side sitting in the top two in the Sky Bet Championship, while frustrated Forest found themselves reflecting on a second consecutive home defeat.

It was a cagey first half...

The defender scored with five minutes left to deny the Robins a first win at Molineux since 1931 after Bobby Reid's late goal put them on the brink.

In an exhilarating game Leo Bonatini and Diogo Jota twice put Wolves ahead but they were pegged back by Aden Flint and Famara Diedhiou's penalty.

Wolves missed the chance to climb into the top two in the Sky Bet Championship as they dropped to fourth with...

Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill becomes a Wolves supporter

Wolverhampton Wanderers picked up a new celebrity fan over the weekend in the somewhat unlikely form of actor Mark Hamill.

While freely admitting that he'd never previously heard of the Championship team, a minor Twitter mix-up saw Hamill pledge his allegiance to the Old Gold cause.

Indeed, it all started when the 65-year-old, who you may recognise as playing Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, liked a tweet sent to him by a Wolves fan assuming it was in reference to the animal.

Hamill soon...
