Mark Hughes: I thought Stoke were going out against Wrexham

Mark Hughes' Stoke rallied to beat Wrexham in the FA Cup.

Stoke boss Mark Hughes expressed his relief at his side making it through to the FA Cup fourth round having been sure they were headed for an embarrassing defeat to Conference outfit Wrexham at the Britannia Stadium.

The Potters -- their crossbar already rattled by Wes York's shot around the hour mark -- fell 1-0 behind in the 73rd minute of the third-round tie through Mark Carrington's header.

But their Premier League hosts' blushes were spared as Marko Arnautovic levelled from close-range seven minutes later before strikes...

Andy Bishop was the star of the show with two goals as Wrexham secured a safe passage through to the FA Cup third round after disposing of Maidstone 3-1.

The Dragons looked to be cruising to the win when Aaron Simpson was sent off, allowing Bishop the chance to add to Manny Smith's opener from the spot.

But Alex Flisher responded for United before Bishop's second made the game safe late on.

Mark Carrington drew a fine early save from Maidstone goalkeeper Lee Worgan with Connor Jennings heading agonisingly...
