Jacob Murphy scored one goal and made another to help Colchester beat fellow strugglers Yeovil 2-0 and boost their survival hopes.

The Norwich loanee won a penalty for David Fox to score early in the second half and then netted himself four minutes later to secure victory for the U's.

Chris Dagnall, Ryan Hedges and Jobi McAnuff were all on target as Leyton Orient secured a 3-0 home win in their relegation battle with Yeovil.

It took the O's just two minutes to go in front in this relegation-scrap in a match when both teams started in the bottom four.

McAnuff fought off three challenges before finding leading striker Dagnall, who netted his 10th league goal of the season, drilling the ball low into the left-hand corner.

Then five minutes later, winger Hedges doubled the O's lead after...

There was no splitting the West Country sides at in the first half, though City enjoyed the better chances and came closest when Korey Smith saw his strike cleared off the line by Stephen Arthurworrey after 16 minutes.

The Glovers' most promising effort of the half came from Sam Foley, but his shot from range was comfortably caught by Frankie Fielding.

James Hayter came off the bench to snatch a late 2-1 win for relegation-threatened Yeovil at home to Oldham.

Joel Grant's close-range effort for the hosts cancelled out Carl Winchester's first-half strike in a nervy clash at Huish Park, before Hayter pounced in stoppage time.

Both sides were without a permanent manager after Gary Johnson was sacked by Yeovil while his son Lee recently left Oldham for League One rivals Barnsley.

Goalkeeper Jake Kean, formerly on loan at Yeovil, was called into action...
