Man City through vs. Steaua, Rostov thrash Ajax to reach UCL group stage

Fabian Delph scored the only goal of the game at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City secured their place in the Champions League group stage with an unconvincing 1-0 victory over Steaua Bucharest to win 6-0 on aggregate as Joe Hart made his first start of the season.

Hart, expected to leave City before the close of the transfer window due to the impending arrival of Claudio Bravo, captained the club in what could prove to be his last appearance at the Etihad Stadium.

Newcastle's Kevin Mbabu joins Young Boys on season-long loan

Kevin Mbabu has joined Young Boys on loan.

Newcastle defender Kevin Mbabu is to return to his native Switzerland to spend the season on loan at Young Boys.

Mbabu, 21, signed a two-year contract extension earlier this summer and has made five senior appearances for the club since signing in January 2013 from Servette.

The full-back made his Premier League debut in a 2-2 draw with Chelsea in September last year.
