Andres Guardado, Michael Bradley make up Copa America Worst XI

While Chile, Argentina and Colombia made up the bulk of the Copa America Centenario Best XI, let us not forget those who were not at their best in the month of June in the United States.

With that, we present the Copa America Centenario Worst XI.

GK Johnny Placide, Haiti -- It was a rough tournament for Haiti, especially in the 7-1 loss to Brazil in which Placide did his team no favors by sending outlet passes right to the feet of Brazilian players. Conceded 12 goals in three matches.

DF Luis Henriquez, Panama -- Panama got off to a good start with a win over Bolivia, but subsequent lopsided defeats to Argentina and Chile, in which Henriquez struggled, dashed their quarterfinal hopes.

DF Johnny Acosta, Costa Rica -- The veteran defender looked a step slow and was often imprecise with his passing. His marking was also lacking in the 4-0 loss to the United States.

DF Wes Morgan, Jamaica -- His out of shape arrival after enjoying Leicester City's Premier League title-winning festivities was a detriment to Jamaica and contributed to their early exit.

Andres Guardado red card v Uruguay
Andres Guardado's Copa America started off on the wrong foot with a sending off against Uruguay.

DF Paul Aguilar, Mexico -- What happened to Aguilar? Usually a spark plug for Mexico down the right flank, Aguilar was not up to snuff in four matches for El Tri, above all in the 1-1 draw to Venezuela and the 7-0 defeat to Chile.

MF Andres Guardado, Mexico -- After leading Mexico to Gold Cup success last summer, Guardado was off his game at the Copa. Red-carded against Uruguay, the El Tri captain returned for the Venezuela clash only to put in an average performance before being overwhelmed by Chile in the quarterfinals.

MF Michael Bradley, United States -- It has to be said that Bradley was below par in this Copa. When the U.S. needed him to be at his very best in the semifinal against Argentina, Bradley was unable to come through as his wayward passing and failure to hold possession put the U.S. on their heels too many times.

MF Willian, Brazil -- Willian was one of the very few bright spots at Chelsea in 2015-16 but his influence in the Copa was lacking. If you take away the group stage drubbing of Haiti, Brazil mustered nothing in attack. Much more was expected.

Copa America Worst XI
Our Worst XI of the Copa features several top stars from nations expected to challenge for the trophy.

MF Carlos Sanchez, Uruguay -- Sanchez's rough Copa started before the tournament kicked off, as he ended up skipping Monterrey's Liga MX final against Pachuca to join Uruguay's pre-tournament camp amid much controversy. His disappointing performance in the Copa was a factor in Uruguay's group stage exit.

FW Edinson Cavani, Uruguay -- It was imperative for Uruguay that Cavani step up in the absence of the injured Luis Suarez. Two matches and zero goals later for the Paris Saint-Germain man, Uruguay were eliminated.

FW Gabriel, Brazil -- Teammate Jonas was not much better up front for Brazil, but overall Gabriel was the poorer of the two. Outside of a first half long-range effort that forced a save, Gabriel failed to come up with the goods when Brazil needed him most in the group stage final against Peru.
