Brazilian club Chapecoense and Colombia's Atletico Nacional, bonded by an air crash in November in which 71 people died, have said they will play a South American cup final next week.

The first leg of the Recopa Sudamericana final, between the champions of the Copa Sudamericana and the Copa Libertadores, will be staged in the southern Brazil city of Chapeco on April 4.

SAO PAULO -- A Brazilian football fan has died after falling 25 meters from the top of Morumbi Stadium in Sao Paulo onto a parking lot.

Brazilian referee channels Paul Alcock in Luis Fabiano sending off

Luis Fabiano was on the wrong end of an odd red card this weekend, when the former Sevilla striker received his marching orders in the Campeonato Carioca.

Barcelona are the only club to provide Chapecoense with financial help after the deadly plane crash that killed players and staff members of the Brazilian side in November, club president Plinio David de Nes Filho said.

Nineteen of Chapecoense's players were among the 71 who died in the crash just outside Medellin, Colombia as the team travelled to the first of two matches against Atletico Nacional to determine the champion of the Copa Sudamericana.

Brazil court halves tax fine for Barcelona's Neymar after appeal

Alejandro Moreno cites an emotional letdown from Barcelona against Deportivo coming off their stunning win over PSG.

Neymar's 188.8 million Brazilian reals (€56.7m and $60.8m) fine for tax fraud was halved on Wednesday when a Brazilian tax appeals court ruled in his favour.

The Barcelona forward had been hit with the punishment last year for failing to report earnings from his contracts with Brazilian club Santos, Barcelona, Nike and other sponsors between 2011 and 2014.

But after appealing the fine -- which included back-taxes and interest -- a judge found in Neymar's favour and decided to reduce it.
