ESPN FC sources say outgoing Liverpool executive Ian Ayre could join TSV 1860 Munich.

Liverpool's outgoing chief executive officer Ian Ayre has been offered the chance to become general manager of German side TSV 1860 Munich, an Anfield source has told ESPN FC.

Ayre announced in March that he was set to leave his role on Merseyside in May 2017 and would take up a position at the German second-division outfit upon the expiration of his Reds' contract.

A source has told ESPN FC that Liverpool's owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) are aware of the opportunity and have worked with Ayre...

German court rules clubs can seek damages from supporters

Cologne supporters
A Cologne fan left seven people injured after throwing a firework at the Mungersdorfer Stadion.

Germany's Federal Court of Justice (BGH) has ruled that clubs are within their rights to seek damages from fans for fines handed to them by the German Football Association (DFB) for violating stadium rules.

The case on trial was an incident at a second-tier match between Cologne and Paderborn in February 2014, in which a supporter threw a firework from the upper tier into the lower tier of the Mungersdorfer Stadion, leaving seven people hurt, with two suffering severe head injuries.

Jos Luhukay said he realised there were problems from his first meeting with Jan Schindelmeiser.

Jos Luhukay has resigned as Stuttgart coach after just 85 days at the helm, admitting there were issues with sporting director Jan Schindelmeiser after he objected to the signings of players including Arsenal's Takuma Asano.

Stuttgart, the 2007 Bundesliga champions, were relegated from the top flight last season prompting a summer of upheaval off the pitch, with the president, sporting director and coach all leaving the club.

Luhukay -- who won promotion to the Bundesliga with his three former...

Chelsea and Matt Miazga are not likely to pursue a loan move to 1860 Munich, a source says.

German club 1860 Munich have expressed interest in signing Chelsea defender Matt Miazga on loan, though a deal is unlikely, a source close to the player confirmed to ESPN FC.

Speculation has been rife all summer that Miazga would be loaned out to gain more playing experience, and Bild earlier reported the second-tier club's approach.

The United States international was previously linked with Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, but it was Michael Hector, Miazga's Chelsea teammate, who was loaned...

Shawn Parker joins Nurnberg on loan after signing new Augsburg deal

Nurnberg celebrate
Nurnberg fans will be cheering on Shawn Parker, who has joined the club on a season-long loan.

Shawn Parker has signed a contract extension at Augsburg and immediately joined Nurnberg on a season-long loan deal.

Parker, 23, who has extended his stay at his parent club until June 2019, has dropped down a division in a bid to gain regular first-team football following injury.

"After my long period out with injury it is important for my progression as a player that I play regular football," the forward told Augsburg's official website.

"I'm confident that I can develop my game further."
