Darmstadt again impressed on the road as rock-bottom Hoffenheim were overcome 2-0 in Sunday's Bundesliga clash.

The visitors went ahead in the 33rd minute when Hoffenheim goalkeeper Oliver Baumann flapped at a cross, with Aytac Sulu nodding home after Slobodan Rajkovic headed the loose ball back into the six-yard box.

The home side were showing no little effort but, whether it was the final ball or even the shot, something was always lacking in their game.

It was timing which was to blame when substitute...

Hamburg and Cologne shared the spoils on Sunday, with Nicolai Muller cancelling out Simon Zoller's opener at the Volksparkstadion.

Zoller gave Cologne a deserved lead late in the first half after a mistake by Johan Djourou, but the hosts responded shortly after the break as Muller brought them level.

Marcel Risse had a shot pushed onto the crossbar by Hamburg goalkeeper Rene Adler as Cologne looked to snatch all three points, but an improved Hamburg were good value for their point.

Lewandowski misses big chance for Bayern Munich in Leverkusen draw

ESPN FC's Raphael Honigstein says Bayern Munich won't allow their star men to follow Pep Guardiola to Manchester City.

Bayern Munich spluttered to a goalless draw at Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday in the Bavarians' first outing since Pep Guardiola's switch to Manchester City this summer became official.

Chances were a rarity in a scrappy, fractious affair which was billed as the "Robert Lewandowski vs. Chicharito show."

The stalemate means Guardiola will leave Bayern having never won at Leverkusen in the league, with just one paltry goal for his side.

Despite the below-par draw, Bayern maintain a comfortable eight-point...

Jose Mourinho, left, watched Dortmund's game with club president Hans-Joachim Watzke on Saturday.

Jose Mourinho watched Borussia Dortmund's game at Hertha Berlin on Saturday, but BVB coach Thomas Tuchel says he's not worried for his future.

Former Chelsea manager Mourinho was a guest of Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke and watched a goalless draw at the Olympiastadion.

Mourinho has been without a job since being sacked by Chelsea in December, though...

Bayern Munich and Dortmund draw a blank, Schalke hammer Wolfsburg

Arturo Vidal
Arturo Vidal shows his frustration after failing to break through.

Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich shared a goalless stalemate for the first time since 1990 as the record German champions failed to take full advantage of Borussia Dortmund's draw in Berlin.

After second-placed Dortmund had been held by Hertha earlier on Saturday, Bayern restored their eight-point advantage at the top of the table in the late kick-off, but will have felt they could have extended it to 10 - particularly following the introduction of Thomas Muller in the second half.

In the end,...
