Bayern Munich to host Augsburg in second round of DFB Pokal

The ESPN FC crew discuss Bayern Munich's 6-0 thrashing of Werder Bremen, and if anyone can truly challenge them in the Bundesliga.
Bayern Munich claimed the DFB Pokal last season.

Bayern Munich will host Bavarian rivals Augsburg in the second round of the DFB Pokal in one of just three all-Bundesliga ties.

The cup holders will have home advantage against their neighbours, who will visit the Allianz Arena on Oct. 25 or 26.

Two other top-flight teams are certain to join Werder Bremen and Leipzig, who were eliminated in the first round, with Cologne playing host to Hoffenheim and Eintracht Frankfurt at home to Ingolstadt.

Borussia Dortmund's Thomas Tuchel 'very satisfied' after DFB-Pokal win

Andre Schurrle scored his first goal for Dortmund as his side dispatch Eintracht Trier from the first round of the DFB Pokal with ease.

Thomas Tuchel is content with Borussia Dortmund's performance in their 3-0 DFB-Pokal defeat of Eintracht Trier, despite his side's lack of finishing touch on Monday.

Dortmund cruised to a comfortable win in their first-round match between the two teams thanks to two goals from Shinji Kagawa and an Andre Schurrle strike.

However Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang missed a number of chances to put the Bundesliga side further ahead.

Speaking after the match, Tuchel told ARD: "I am very satisfied. The early...

Shinji Kagawa brace helps Dortmund advance in DFB Pokal; Hamburg win

Andre Schurrle scored his first goal for Dortmund as his side dispatch Eintracht Trier from the first round of the DFB Pokal with ease.
Shinji Kagawa scored twice for Dortmund on Monday.

Borussia Dortmund eased into the second round of the DFB Pokal with a comfortable 3-0 win at Eintracht Trier on Monday night.

Shinji Kagawa gave last season's beaten finalists an early lead before adding a second in the 33rd minute against the fourth-tier club.

Andre Schurrle completed the win on the stroke of half-time thanks to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's second assist.

Aubameyang was earlier denied by the far post after lifting the ball over Trier keeper Chris Keilmann. He also struck the...

RB Leipzig chief slams Dynamo Dresden fans over cow head incident

Dynamo Dresden fans cheer ahead of the DFB Pokal victory at home to RB Leipzig.

RB Leipzig have slammed Dynamo Dresden fans as "tasteless" after a severed cow's head was thrown from the stands during Saturday's DFB Pokal clash.

The cities of Dresden and Leipzig are separated by only 100 kilometres and, when the sides met in the first round of the cup, Dresden fans snuck the head into the Stadion Dresden and threw it toward the pitch from the stands.

Supporters of eight-time East German champions Dynamo appeared to be showing their distaste for their big-spending local...
