The MTN FA Cup last four will be dominated by Premier League sides after three won their quarterfinal matches on Sunday.

Accra Hearts of Oak and Medeama went through at the expense of lower league opposition, while Wa All Stars won the all Premier League affair against Berekum Chelsea.

The fourth quarterfinal, between Kotoko and NEA Salamina, was postponed because the Porcupine Warriors were deemed to be medically unfit to return to the field after their motor accident earlier in the month. If they go through against the Division One side, it will set up a thrilling all-Premier League semifinal cast with a potential Hearts-Kotoko duel on the cards.

Hearts ensured their place in the semis via a controversial penalty against Danbort FC at the Accra Sports Stadium after Patrick Razak was brought down in the box. Vincent Atingah tucked it away to ensure safe passage for Frank Nuttal's men.

The fixture between Medeama and Amidaus was also tight, with the Premier League side edging it 2-1 via goals from Rashid Nortey and Latif Salifu.

In Wa, All Stars made light work of Berekum Chelsea with a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Nasiru Farouk Moro and Seth Amoateng.

Elsewhere, goals from Hans Kwofie and Samed Ibrahim helped AshantiGold beat title-chasing WAFA 2-0 in their outstanding Ghana Premier League game to ease their relegation worries and hand the advantage in the title race to Aduana Stars.

The result takes AshantiGold out of the bottom three, but for WAFA it means they must win their outstanding game against Asante Kotoko to regain leadership of the League.
