Melbourne Victory's Oliver Bozanic set to join J.League's Ventforet Kofu

Oliver Bozanic will join J-League club Ventforet Kofu from Melbourne Victory.

Melbourne Victory marquee player Oliver Bozanic is leaving AAMI Park to join Ventforet Kofu, the J.League side have announced.

The Japanese outfit confirmed that Bozanic will sign, pending a medical, and is set to join the team at training from Friday.

The news comes after the 2014 World Cup Socceroos midfielder was omitted from Victory's squad that thrashed the Perth Glory 4-1 in the A-League last weekend, amid speculation he was in talks for a transfer.

50-year-old Kazuyoshi Miura has become the oldest footballer to score a competitive goal, beating Stanley Matthews' record.

TOKYO -- Kazuyoshi Miura scored his first goal of the season on Sunday to break his own record as the J League's oldest goal scorer at the age of 50.

Miura, who plays for second division side Yokohama FC, scored the only goal in the 40th minute of his team's 1-0 win over Thespa Kusatsu.

"I'm glad to contribute to a win," Miura said. "I'm always looking to score but had a good feeling about today's game."
