Jamie Maclaren admits uncertainty but open to Brisbane Roar stay

With week 25 approaching, take an in-depth look into who could be joining Sydney FC in the finals.

Brisbane Roar striker Jamie Maclaren
Brisbane Roar striker Jamie Maclaren's future is up in the air.

Jamie Maclaren admits it's unlikely that he will play for Brisbane Roar next season but would be willing to entertain any offer should the A-League club come back to the table.

The 23-year-old rejected a contract extension from the Roar in November but said he has had no discussions with the club since, describing his future as completely "up in the air."

His agent Paddy Dominguez confirmed strong interest from A-League rivals as well as a litany of overseas clubs.

Ange Postecoglou wants abolishment of A-League salary cap

ESPN FC's Jason Dasey and PJ Roberts break down all the action from Australia's 2-0 victory over United Arab Emirates.

Ange Postecoglou has called for the abolition of the A-League salary cap, saying it is affecting the development of young Australian players by forcing them to move overseas too early.

The Socceroos coach also believes the annual wage cap is hampering the ability of local teams to bring quality players from overseas to the country.

Asked on SEN Radio what the one change he would make to the A-League if he was in charge of the competition, Postecoglou said: "Get rid of the salary cap."

"I want...

Graham Arnold wants Sydney FC to keep momentum high in A-League

With week 25 approaching, take an in-depth look into who could be joining Sydney FC in the finals.

Socceroos Rhyan Grant and Danny Vukovic will slot straight back into their starting roles when A-League premiers Sydney FC go all out to beat Melbourne City and eclipse the record for most wins in a season.

But Dutch centre-back Jordy Buijs is touch and go after coming off with quad tightness an hour into last week's 3-0 thumping of the Perth Glory.

The Premiers' Plate is already Sydney's with three rounds to go, a feat coach Graham Arnold believes is under-valued in an Australian competition featuring...

Guillermo Amor refuses to speculate on Adelaide United future

With week 25 approaching, take an in-depth look into who could be joining Sydney FC in the finals.

Adelaide United coach Guillermo Amor says deciding his future isn't important yet, despite his A-League club already plotting for next season.

Amor says he's focusing on the Reds' remaining games domestically and in the AFC Champions League rather than if he will remain Adelaide coach next season.

"That is not important at the moment," he told reporters on Thursday.

"I prefer to be focusing in these games, in these six games in this competition. And then, after, we don't know the future.

"It's important...
