PSG's Choupo-Moting sorry for horror miss, adds: 'mistakes are human'

Paris Saint-Germain forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has apologised for his horror miss during the 2-2 Ligue 1 draw at home to Strasbourg last Sunday.

The Cameroon international opened the scoring but then inexplicably blocked Christopher Nkunku's goal-bound effort at 1-1, provoking a global reaction on social media.

Choupo-Moting, 30, who missed another easy chance during the recent 1-0 league win away at Toulouse, posted a message on Instagram following criticism he received for the gaffe.

Paris Saint-Germain will have to wait for at least one more week to seal their eighth Ligue 1 title after a 2-2 draw at home to Strasbourg on Sunday.

Lille's 1-1 draw away at Reims earlier in the day had meant that a victory would confirm PSG as French champions for a second consecutive season, but striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting had other ideas.

Having put the hosts in front, the Cameroon international incredibly contrived to stop Christopher Nkunku's goal-bound effort at 1-1, and was unable...

Dani Alves, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting both 7/10 but Neymar injured in PSG's cup win

Paolo Bandini, Gab Marcotti and Mina Rzouki discuss Allan's potential move to PSG and ask whether Amadou Diawara could take his vacant spot in the side.

Paris Saint-Germain are into the Coupe de France round of 16 after a 2-0 win over Strasbourg at Parc des Princes on Wednesday courtesy of Edinson Cavani and Angel Di Maria goals.

However, Neymar's second-half injury and tears as he made his way off will have coach Thomas Tuchel worried about his star man's fitness ahead of the Champions League clash with Manchester United next month.

The result, as it means that PSG take another step toward defending their title and making it five consecutive...

Injury dashes Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting's Cameroon return
