Real Madrid-bound forward Vinicius Jr. said that he and Rodrygo would benefit from having Neymar, their fellow Brazilian, at the club.

Vinicius Jr. is due to link up with Madrid next month for preseason training, with FIFA rules having mandated that he waits until he turns 18 before finalising a €45 million transfer agreed last summer with Flamengo.

Rodrygo, meanwhile, agreed a €54m move from Santos for next summer, and Madrid president Florentino Perez remains keen on adding Neymar...

Neymar missed Brazil training on Monday following concerns about his left foot after Brazil's opening World Cup game, a 1-1 World Cup draw with Switzerland on Sunday.

The forward was fouled 10 times in the game, which was his first competitive match since February when he fractured the fifth metatarsal in his right foot, an injury that ended his club campaign early and required surgery.

Steve McManaman breaks down Neymar's performance as the FC crew react to Brazil's draw with Switzerland in their World Cup opener.

For the first time since 1978, Brazil did not win their opening match at a World Cup. However, that's a mere detail following the anticlimactic 1-1 draw with Switzerland in Rostov.

Brazil had problems in that match that will need adjustments, but not everything was so gloomy.

Neymar said he is more focused on success with Brazil at the World Cup in Russia rather than his own performances.

"My goal is not to be the best player," Neymar told YouTube channel Desimpedidos. "It is to win the World Cup with Brazil."

Neymar also praised coach Tite for the work he has done in restoring the Selecao's identity after Dunga's unpopular term.

"Tite saved the soul and happiness of each player," Neymar said. "Tite has given the team confidence and structure."

Brazil's Neymar has new World Cup hairdo compared to noodles on social media

Brazil kicked off their World Cup campaign against Switzerland on Sunday evening but the big point of discussion going into the game was the latest creation atop Neymar's head.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker debuted a stirring new look for his tournament debut, arriving in Moscow with a primped and preened new hairstyle to show unto everybody.

Straight off the bat, some particularly pithy observers couldn't help but notice that Neymar's newly-blonde tresses bore a passing resemblance to a portion...

Brazil disappointed the torcedores (fans) who filled the Rostov Arena with a 1-1 draw against Switzerland in their opening World Cup match Sunday.

Tite's team had a great first half but were not able to keep up their tempo, suffered from an early second-half equalizer and took too long to react.
