Tottenham's Alli and Kane worth more than Messi and Ronaldo - study

ESPNFC's Tottenham correspondent Dan Kilpatrick believes Spurs may struggle to compete financially in the transfer market.
Harry Kane aspires to emulate Ronaldo and Messi's Ballon d'Or glory, and believes he can achieve that at Tottenham.
ESPN's Tottenham correspondent Dan Kilpatrick tells us who he thinks Tottenham will sign this summer.

Tottenham's Harry Kane and Dele Alli are worth more than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, according to a new study by CIES Football Observatory.

England pair Kane, 24, and Alli, 21, are valued at £135.5 million and £136.9m, respectively, ranking them behind only Barcelona's Neymar (£185.9m), and above fourth-placed Messi (£133.9m) and evergreen Ronaldo (£99.2m), the oldest player on the list, in 11th.

Antoine Griezmann (£132.6m), Luis Suarez (£124.2m), Manchester...

Barca have tough task convincing top players to sign for bit-part roles behind 'MSN'

The FC crew mull over whom Ernesto Valverde might target in the transfer market now that he is Barcelona's next manager.
Former Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera is now linked with a possible move to Barca after Ernesto Valverde's appointment.
Sid Lowe says Barcelona are in safe hands with Ernesto Valverde, even if he is not the most exciting managerial hire.

"Who doesn't want to play for a club as big as Barcelona?"

Those were the words of Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez when he was asked about reports linking him with the Catalan club. Millions of kids across the globe would presumably give the same response.

But Davinson's rhetorical question does not echo the thoughts of every professional footballer -- as Barca have been finding out over the last few years. There aren't many players who wouldn't want to play for Barcelona, of course,...

Indeed, Barcelona striker Neymar was courtside along with Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton as Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant's Golden State Warriors took on LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Oracle Arena.

Neymar's ex-agent Wagner Ribeiro given 5-year sentence for tax evasion

Neymar joins Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi atop ESPN's World Fame 100 list.

Barcelona forward Neymar's former agent Wagner Ribeiro has been sentenced to five years and four months in prison in his native Brazil after being found guilty of tax evasion.

A court found that Ribeiro had "suppressed and reduced his income tax between 2002 and 2005" by declaring only €165,000 of the €1,220,000 which he had earned.

While considering the sentence, Ribeiro's attitude to tax evasion was also taken into account, which included his advice to Neymar's father that the player...

Barcelona's Neymar gets to grips with sumo star on visit to Japan

With football on the back-burner for the time being, this week Neymar flew out to Japan to attend the grand launch of his new luxury jewellery line in Tokyo.

The Barcelona striker has teamed up with designers Gaga Milano to produce his very own wristwatch, and even had the opportunity to meet one of the brand's biggest ambassadors at the launch gala.

Why nobody outshines the sublime Neymar in Brazil

Neymar joins Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi atop ESPN's World Fame 100 list.

Brazil is the land of football, and Neymar is the best player in the land of football.

For the second consecutive year, the Brazil and Barcelona star is high among the world's most famous players in ESPN's World Fame 100 rankings. In 2016, Neymar occupied the fourth position. This year, he is ranked No. 6.

Two spots lower? That's hard to figure, because it appears that Neymar's star is on the rise and that his reign will be a long one.

His accomplishments at Barcelona are undeniable. Alongside the...
