Indian Super League best XI: Coro, Ogbeche lead team of the season

Bengaluru beat Goa 1-0 in the final to claim their maiden ISL title on Sunday. But who were ISL's best players this season? Here's our team of the tournament.

GK - Gurpreet Singh Sandhu (Bengaluru FC)

India's No.1 goalkeeper kept his seventh clean sheet of the season in the final -- ahead of Pawan Kumar and Amrinder Singh, who both had six each. Without John Johnson for the first time in their history, Bengaluru didn't always have a confident backline, and Sandhu's solidity made a huge...

No 'magic' in Mumbai, but Bengaluru have last laugh as ISL finale turns scrappy

Both Carles Cuadrat and Sergio Lobera had wanted to showcase the magic of football in the ISL final. It was supposed to be a match-up between the two best ball-playing sides in the country, the two most entertaining. For large parts of 117 minutes, the magic was difficult to spot on the pitch.

But with penalties on the cards, and the air sticky with tension, Rahul Bheke rose above everyone else in the 118th minute to guide Bengaluru FC to their maiden ISL title. Just two minutes away from the cruelty...

Job half done for gritty NorthEast, but injuries to star players major concern for second leg

NorthEast put in a stellar performance for the majority of the game, but will rue the away goal they conceded to a moment of brilliance from Sunil Chhetri, who set up Xisco Hernandez with a wonderful assist. Here are the player ratings for each team.

Juan Mascia's penalty in the 95th minute gave NorthEast United a dramatic, late win over Bengaluru FC, who seemed to have secured a hard-earned draw after substitute Xisco Hernandez's 82nd minute equaliser. It was Bengaluru's first ever defeat against NorthEast in the ISL.

The hosts earlier produced a superb first half of attacking football, and took the lead when Redeem Tlang found the net with a spectacular, curling effort in the 20th minute.

However, injuries to talismanic striker...
