Sporting Lisbon sign 2004 tsunami survivor Martunis, inspired by Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo helped Martunis get back on his feet after the disaster.

Sporting Lisbon have signed a 17-year-old Indonesian player who survived the Boxing Day tsunami in 2004 and was inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Martunis was just seven years old when his mother and two siblings were killed by the wave that hit the northern Indonesian region of Banda Aceh and killed over 230,000 people.

Giannelli Imbula: Transfer from Marseille to Porto was my decision

Giannelli Imbula scored two Ligue 1 goals last seaosn.

Giannelli Imbula has denied suggestions he was forced out of Marseille, telling RMC he alone had made the decision to join Porto.

Imbula, 22, signed a five-year contract with the Portuguese giants earlier this week in a €20 million deal.

With Marseille's financial situation precarious, French media had suggested Imbula, who was a first-team regular under Marcelo Bielsa last season, was pushed out of the Stade Velodrome.

Eder signs for Swansea from Braga on three-year contract

Eder joined Braga from Academica in 2012.

Swansea have announced the signing of striker Eder from Braga on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Eder, 27, will enhance the Swans' attacking firepower alongside the likes of Bafetimbi Gomis and recent signing Andre Ayew.

The Portugal international scored 10 goals in 29 appearances for Braga last season as the club finished fourth in the Portuguese top flight.

Porto sign Giannelli Imbula from Marseille for €20 million

Giannelli Imbula impressed in midfielder for Marseille to draw the attention of a number of top clubs.

Porto have signed Marseille midfielder Giannelli Imbula for a fee of €20 million.

Imbula, 22, drew favourable comparisons with Patrick Vieira for his leggy build and all-action displays in midfield for OM last season, with the player's father confirming former Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti was an admirer.

The player had been linked with Inter and Chelsea among others, but has signed a five-year deal with the Portuguese side with a buyout clause of €50m.
