Rayon Sports sound Enyimba battle cry

Rayon Sports are determined to win away in Nigeria and eliminate Enyimba from the CAF Confederation Cup, according to coach Roberto Oliveira Goncalves.

The two sides played out a 0-0 draw in the first leg of their quarter final in Kigali on Sunday, and Goncalves is confident that they can get over the line in the return leg on September 23.

"My boys played well although we failed to achieve the win we wanted while playing at home," Goncalves told KweséESPN, "but we can win in Nigeria.

"I liked the way my players controlled the game, but we must improve on getting the goals," he added. "We got a vital win away from home against Gor Mahia in the group stage, and we can go and do the same away in Nigeria.

Rayon largely dominated Sunday's clash, but will blame forward Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana, who missed several scoring chances.

"The absence of one of our key players Yannick Mukunzi was also a problem today," the coach continued, "but the motivation among the players is very high.

"We are surely going for a serious battle in the return leg in Nigeria."

Rayon Sports' stand-in captain Abdul Rwatubyaye also sounded the battle cry ahead of the second leg.

"We now know what to expect in Nigeria," he told KweséESPN, "and we are determined to make history and qualify for the semi finals."

Rayon have already become the first Rwandan side to qualify for the quarter finals of a CAF competition.
