Paul Harkins is added to the Montrose squad ahead of their League Cup tie against Falkirk.
The former Queen's Park and Elgin midfielder has completed his move to Links Park, while a loan deal for Dunfermline defender Declan O'Kane is due to be completed ahead of the first-round clash.
Garry Wood is available as the suspension for his red card against Peterhead will be served in next seasons Petrofac Training Cup. However, Graham Webster was dismissed last weekend and he is banned. Jonathan Crawford is out with a knee injury.
Montrose boss George Shields said: "Beating Falkirk will be a difficult task but it will be an impossible task if we start in the same manner as we started last Saturday.``
Falkirk hit seven past Montrose's League Two rivals East Stirling last weekend and they add Craig Sibbald to their ranks after the midfielder shook off a knee injury.
Liam Rowan's toe keeps him out and Kieran Dufffie is still not available following a foot injury.
Bairns' technical director Alex Smith said: "The Shire made things tight throughout the game last week and they gave themselves a chance when they scored to make it 3-1. However, we reacted to that setback really well and went on to put on a really powerful display.
"If we play to that level against Montrose we will be delighted."
