Two goals in the first 20 minutes helped Stenhousemuir forget about last weekend's cup shock as they defeated Airdrie 3-1.
Scott Booth's side were beaten by Highland League Brora seven days ago but avoided a second successive cup slip-up thanks to early goals from Alan Lithgow and John Sludden.
It took just eight minutes for the visitors to break the deadlock with Lithgow converting the first shot of the game after being found by Martin Grehan inside the area.
Neither side would trouble the goal again until Sludden added a second after 20 minutes, rifling home with his right foot.
Josh Watt and Sludden squandered chances to add a third prior to the interval with the hosts struggling to muster any efforts on goal.
Substitute Jack Kirwan finally pulled a goal back for Airdrie in the 90th minute yet a nervy finish never ensued as fellow replacement Colin McMenamin restored the Warriors' two-goal advantage less than a minute later.
