Neymar backs Lionel Messi ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo for Ballon d'Or

Real Madrid and Barcelona have always dominated the Ballon D'or, but who has won more in their history?

Neymar has backed Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi to bag his sixth Ballon d'Or award ahead of Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo is the frontrunner to win this year's Ballon d'Or, which will be announced next week, after a stellar year that saw him help Portugal win the Euro 2016 title along with the Champions League crown at Madrid.

With 51 goals in all competitions, Ronaldo looks likely to scoop the award but Neymar reckons his Argentine teammate deserves it more.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane wants to avoid Juventus in UCL draw

ESPN FC's Sid Lowe explains why Borussia Dortmund edging Real Madrid in Group F could benefit both sides in the UCL.
Real Madrid extend their unbeaten run to 34 straight but finish second to Dortmund in Group F.

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane said he hoped to avoid his former side Juventus in Monday's Champions League last-16 draw.

His side were denied top spot in Group F by a late equaliser in Wednesday's 2-2 Champions League draw at home to Borussia Dortmund at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

Zidane's team seemed set for a victory which would have seen them win the group when Karim Benzema scored once in either half. But a young Dortmund team came back to equalise through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang...

Real Madrid equal club record 34-game unbeaten run with Dortmund draw

Real Madrid extend their unbeaten run to 34 straight but finish second to Dortmund in Group F.
ESPN FC's Sid Lowe explains why Borussia Dortmund edging Real Madrid in Group F could benefit both sides in the UCL.

Real Madrid have equalled the 34-game club record of matches unbeaten with a 2-2 draw against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

However, that result was not enough for Zinedine Zidane's side to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition as winners of Group F ahead of their German opponents.

Los Blancos looked to be in full control of the game thanks to a Karim Benzema brace but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Marco Reus scored to earn a point for the Bundesliga side.

Aleix Vidal hoping to remain at Barcelona beyond January

Luis Enrique suggests Barcelona had 'a lot to lose' in their 4-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach on Tuesday night.
Arda Turan set up Messi's goal and had a hat trick as Barcelona demolished Borussia Monchengladbach.

Aleix Vidal will give his all to ensure his future remains at Barcelona beyond January after impressing in the 4-0 win against Borussia Monchengladbach on Tuesday.

Vidal, 27, has been the subject of constant transfer speculation in the local media since he fell out of favour following Barca's shock 2-1 defeat against Alaves in September.

However, after being brought back in from the cold for last week's Copa del Rey game against Hercules, the right-back was handed another start against Gladbach...

Barcelona's Alba picked wrong guy to tell to 'learn to speak Spanish, fool'

Though Real Madrid and Barcelona drew in El Clasico, the play of Barca's stars draws the most criticism from the FC crew.

Barcelona's Jordi Alba chose the wrong Real Madrid player to pick on when he insulted Mateo Kovacic's language skills during the Clasico at the weekend.

In images reproduced on Movistar, the left-back is caught trash-talking the Croatia international. Among other things, he tells him to learn Spanish.

"You're an idiot, learn to speak Spanish, fool," Alba said. "Learn to speak first, you moron. Walk on, shut up, you simpleton."
