Watford sign Etienne Capoue from Tottenham
Watford have announced the signing of midfielder Etienne Capoue from Tottenham.
Capoue, 26, has signed a four-year contract at Watford after they agreed to pay a club-record fee, reported to be £5.7 million.
"Hello, Watford fans," he said in an interview published on the club's official Twitter feed. "I'm very happy to join the club. Now I'm a Hornet."
The France international had joined Spurs from Toulouse in 2013, making 24 Premier League appearances.
Sky Sports reported on Saturday that Watford, who secured promotion back to the top flight in May, had also agreed a deal for Spurs midfielder Benjamin Stambouli.
Spurs posted a short statement on their official website to say: "We wish Etienne all the best for the future."
