Stefan Savic set for Atletico Madrid transfer from Fiorentina
Stefan Savic is set to leave Fiorentina for Atletico Madrid, with Mario Suarez moving in the other direction.
The Montenegro international, 24, did not travel on Sunday with the rest of the Viola squad for their summer tour of the United States, with the Italian outfit announcing on their website that the player is on the verge of moving to another club.
Savic, who is under contract with Fiorentina until June 2019, has been strongly linked to Atletico in recent months and he confirmed in AS that he is set to play for Diego Simeone's side.
"Simeone is the best coach in football," he said. "I hope to talk with him soon to see what he expects of me."
On Atletico midfielder Suarez, Savic said: "Mario Suarez is a very good player. He is going to Fiorentina and I am sure he will help them to achieve a lot of success."

The centre-back joined the Serie A side three years ago from Manchester City and made 28 league starts for Fiorentina in the 2014-15 season.
Suarez, meanwhile, made 11 league starts for Atletico in the recently concluded campaign and is willing to leave the Rojiblancos in search of more playing time.
