Chelsea's Victor Moses joins Fenerbahce on 18-month loan deal

Steve Nicol and Raphael Honigstein agree Gonzalo Higuain will help Chelsea score goals, but they also think it increases the club's pressure to perform.

Chelsea's Victor Moses has joined Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce on an 18-month loan deal.

Moses, 28, flew to Istanbul on Wednesday to hold talks with Fenerbahce after falling out of Maurizio Sarri's first-team plans and playing only 26 minutes in the Premier League this season

Chelsea had been hoping to sell Moses this month but no suitable offers emerged, meaning he has been allowed to move on loan.

He joined Chelsea from Wigan for around £9 million in 2012, with his fortunes shifting dramatically under different managers.

Jose Mourinho allowed Moses to spend time on loan at Liverpool, Stoke and West Ham, but Antonio Conte transformed him from a winger to a wing-back and he became a key part of Chelsea's run to the 2016-17 Premier League title.

Conte's departure and Sarri's arrival last summer signalled a return to a back four at Chelsea, with Moses again regarded as a winger and behind Eden Hazard, Willian and Pedro in the pecking order.

Meanwhile, 23-year-old defender Matt Miazga has joined Reading on loan until the end of the season.

The United States international moves to the Championship side having spent the first half of the season on loan at Nantes in France.

Miazga, who made his debut for the U.S. in 2015, has 11 appearances in total and featured against England at Wembley in November.
