Sources: Dybala's move to Spurs falls through

Craig Burley and the FC crew weigh in on the reports that Tottenham are close to signing Paulo Dybala from Juventus.
Our ESPN FC panel give their Premier League predictions, including some surprising picks for top 6 and player of the year.

Juventus forward Paulo Dybala's proposed move to Tottenham Hotspur is off after the player and his representatives failed to agree terms with the Premier League club, sources have told ESPN FC.

The London club agreed a fee of £60 million with Juventus for the transfer of the Argentina international but agreeing personal terms with the player and his agents complicated the move, due mostly to an image rights issue.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is a big fan of his compatriot and was very keen to complete the deal.

However, unless something drastic changes before the 5 p.m. (BST) deadline, Spurs believe there is not enough time to make the transfer happen.

Dybala, 25, is not wanted by new Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri and the Italian champions are trying to offload him this summer, sources have told ESPN FC.

He was in talks with Manchester United, as part of a proposed swap deal with Romelu Lukaku, but a deal between the two parties could not be agreed.

Juventus declined to comment on the deal when approached by ESPN FC.
