Nolito eyes return to Spain, hopes Manchester City will let him go

Bernardo Silva outlines his intention to win titles with Manchester City after sealing his move from Monaco.

Manchester City striker Nolito says he is "crazy" about a return to Spain and hopes the Premier League club will allow him to leave.

The 30-year-old signed a four-year deal with Man City last July, but has struggled for game time under Pep Guardiola. He made only nine league starts in the 2016-17 season, and 10 appearances as a substitute.

Now with Portugal's Bernardo Silva signing from Monaco at the start of a summer recruitment drive, Nolito is already looking towards his homeland.

Neither is likely to serve any jail time because, under Spanish law, a tax prison sentence of less than two years can be served under probation.

Villar was running unopposed after his only rival, Jorge Perez, did not show the necessary backing in time for the election.

Jorge Perez, who had sought to challenge Villar, his former boss,...

Luis Enrique only has two more matches at the helm for Barcelona, but says he will be at Camp Nou as a fan next season.

Sergi Roberto will be fit for Spain's upcoming games against Colombia and Macedonia after Barcelona confirmed a groin injury will only keep him out for around 10 days.

The right-back was replaced at half-time by Andre Gomes during Barca's win over Eibar on Sunday and underwent tests at the club's training ground on Monday to reveal the extent of the problem.
