Real Madrid legend Raul, now an executive with the club, has begin earning his coaching badges.

Real Madrid legend Raul has joined several other fellow former Spain internationals in taking the first steps towards a coaching career.

Raul, who retired in 2015 following a 20-year playing career, started a coaching course in Madrid given by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to acquire UEFA's A and B coaching licenses.

The 40-year-old was accompanied on the first day by former Madrid teammates Julio Cesar Baptista and Xabi Alonso, who retired last summer.

Wales to host Spain in friendly in November

Wales will play Spain in a glamour Cardiff friendly in October -- the first fixture between the two countries for 33 years.

The game, announced by the Football Association of Wales on Friday alongside a November trip to Albania, could be played at the 74,500-capacity Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

The national football team has not played at the home of Welsh rugby since a Euro 2012 qualifier against England in March 2011, preferring instead to play at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Munir El Haddadi appeared for Spain's senior side in 2014.

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation and striker Munir El Haddadi have appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in a bid to enable him to be included in their World Cup squad.

Spanish-born Munir, whose father was born in Morocco, played for Spain's senior side in a Euro 2016 qualifying match in 2014.

Last month, FIFA turned down an appeal by Morocco and Munir, who plays for Deportivo Alaves on loan from Barcelona, for him to be allowed to represent them.

Juan Luis Larrea, the acting head of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, is a candidate for the position.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has rescheduled its presidential elections for May 17.

The election was scheduled for Monday, but it was postponed with Athletic Bilbao's Oscar De Marcos, the players' delegate, unable to attend because of a game against Villarreal that day.
