Bas Dost's Wolfsburg strike rate best ever in Bundesliga
Bas Dost's brace for Wolfsburg made him the most effective striker in Bundesliga history.
Dost, 25, scored twice as Wolfsburg overcame Werder Bremen 5-3 on Sunday to remain within eight points of leaders Bayern Munich.
The Dutchman has netted 11 goals in the opening six Bundesliga games of 2015 -- his season total of 13 goals in 819 minutes means that he has struck every 63 minutes.
This return currently makes him more prolific than Claudio Pizarro, who needed 684 minutes for his 10 league goals for Bayern Munich last season.
At the weekend, Dost turned Wolfsburg's match at Bremen around by scoring twice in the first six minutes of the second half.
"We twice came back in the first half, and then conceded the third goal. That's annoying," Dost said on Wolfe TV after the match.
"And I did not score in the first half despite having a minor chance. That also annoyed me. But I never lost faith, and luckily I was able scored twice after the break.
"We can be satisfied today. The first half was not good. The second was. We've won 5-3, very good!"
The result extended Wolfsburg's unbeaten run in the Bundesliga to 11 games -- the club have now collected 27 of a possible 33 league points since December 2014.
