Alan Pardew has two games to save West Bromwich Albion job - sources

Alan Pardew's West Bromwich Albion side are seven points adrift of safety.

West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Pardew is facing a battle to keep his job with Harry Redknapp and Mark Hughes among the potential contenders to replace him, sources have told ESPN FC.

Pardew's position has come under increasing scrutiny after one of the most turbulent weeks in West Brom's recent history.

Four players issued an apology for allegedly stealing a taxi during a training camp in Barcelona last week, before the Baggies were knocked out of the FA Cup at home by Southampton.

West Brom have won only three of 27 Premier League games this season, despite owner Guochuan Lai financing new arrivals in both the summer and January windows.

Pardew, who took over from Tony Pulis in November, has won only one of 13 Premier League games and the club are seven points adrift of safety with just 11 games left.

West Brom face Huddersfield Town and Watford in their next two games, and defeat in those would be likely to result in Pardew's departure.

If the former Reading, Newcastle and Crystal Palace manager were to leave The Hawthorns, West Brom are likely to turn to someone who is out of work and can step straight in.

Redknapp left Birmingham in September, while former Stoke manager Hughes is a contender following his departure last month.

Gary Megson, put in caretaker charge following the sacking of Pulis in November, is also in the frame.

Behind the scenes, chairman John Williams and chief executive Martin Goodman were sacked last week by Lai.
